Prison for Speed Offenders in Guayaquil
The Transit Commission of Ecuador (CTE for its Spanish acronym) will begin, on Thursday August 23, to apply art. 145 of the Transit Act, which punishes with three days of imprisonment for drivers who commit speed offenses.
On urban roads, if the vehicle exceeds 50 km / h (maximum speed), it enters the moderate range (51 km / h to 60 km / h), after that limit the driver shall be punished with imprisonment.
In highways, if the vehicle exceeds 90 km / h (maximum speed), it enters the moderate range (91 km / h to 120 km / h), after this limit the driver shall be punished with imprisonment.
For public transport vehicles on highways, if the vehicle exceeds 70 km / h (maximum speed), it enters the moderate range (71 km / h to 100 km / h), after this limit the driver shall be punished with imprisonment. MZ
