Private banking sector insists that the BCE does not manage the electronic money

The Association of Private Banks insists that the Central Bank of Ecuador does not continue administering the platform for electronic money transactions.
The president of this institution, Julio Jose Prado, said that the Central Bank is not the appropriate entity to manage this payment since this is a reserve bank and therefore this would generate distrust.
The general manager of the Central Bank of Ecuador Diego Martinez says that the State shall manage the electronic money.
