Protesters call for peace for Venezuela
Yesterday in different places of Caracas and other Venezuelan localities government and opposition groups concentrated. Both sides, despite their political differences requested for peace to come to Venezuela.
While university students continued to demand for security, Chavistas embraced the invitation of President Nicolas Maduro. About 3,000 opponents mostly students, concentrated in the commercial center of eastern Caracas, Las Mercedes.
The young people yesterday called for the cessation of police repression and justice for the two young men killed amid clashes with police and pro-government groups called “collective”.
Meanwhile, in the center of Caracas the official march, carrying national flags and posters of former deceased Hugo Chavez moved to centric Bolivar Avenue where protesters practiced sports, danced and listened to concerts until it joined Maduro and his government team.
The president said that he will not accept violent groups in Chavezism. “Who wants to have weapons to fight with weapons, it go.”
