Public Water Company is in charge of “megaprojects”
The Public Water Company, created by executive order on April 17, will be in charge of the construction of the so called “water megaprojects”, which originally weremanaged by the National Water Secretariat (Senagua). This company was institutionalized with the approval of the Water Law.
The Company Manager Carlos Bernal explained that the main objectives will be to implement, monitor, manage, maintain and operate the entire water infrastructure of the central Government´s jurisdiction.
Six projects are under construction: Multipropósito Chone, Duale-Vinces, the transfer Chongón-San Vicente, Bulubulu, Canar and Naranjal.
Eleven more are under study: Milagro Pacalori, Coaque, Jama, Chalupas, Pedro Carbo, Tahuín, Puma, Puruhanta, Tumbabiro and Río Verde .
