“Querétaro” Is The Most Beautiful Word in Spanish

More than 33,000 people voted for their favorite word in Spanish in the celebration of “Día E”, they chose the word “Querétaro”, proposed by Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal.
“Querétaro” is the name of a Mexican city, meaning “island of the blue salamanders” is the most beautiful word in Spanish.
“Día E” (S–for Spanish– day) is a fest celebrated by over 500 million people who speak Spanish in the five continents and the Cervantes Institute three years encouraging it in its 78 centers around the world, this year, the event officially started in Madrid at eleven am at the headquarters of the Cervantes Institute; where, Carmen Caffarel, accompanied by the Spanish Minister of Culture, Ángeles González Sinde, and writer Ana María Matute, winner of the last Cervantes Prize, recalled that this holiday celebrates “the strength of our language.”
