Real estate sector expect impact on construction jobs
After the resolutions imposed by the Superintendency of Companies last December, where Real estate activities are regulated, the construction sector continues in uncertainty about the new regulations.
One point of concern to developers and builders is the prohibition of receiving money in advance from customers, in the case of not having the necessary permits from the authorities.
For the director of the Association of Real Estate Housing of Ecuador, Jaime Rumbea, the rules must be socialized by explaining its scope.
He argues that the construction business would be paralyzed throughout the country creating direct and indirect impact on jobs. Also mentioned that this would affect 1.5 million more families around the country.
Although 2013 ended with a lower growth rate to 10%, Rumbea ensures that is still considerably to increase.
