Reinaldo Rueda prepares two alignments
To face Colombia, this Friday, Ecuador’s coach will use a group and for the match with Bolivia, four days later, could make several changes, in consideration of various aspects, according to the conclusions of analysts and experts in soccer.
The reasons for the changes would be that Reinaldo Rueda, technical director of the Tricolor, considers that the players summoned for the match with Colombia may not have the strength to handle both games and therefore he will let some of the players rest for the first match.
Rueda believes that playing less than 3 meters above sea level (in Barranquilla, Colombia) and four days later rise to 3.750 metres (in La Paz, in Bolivia), will affect the performance of the players.
The qualification round is four dates away of meeting the four teams who will be going to the World Cup Brazil 2014, and which ones will get the quota for the playoff. Ecuador is positioned third with 21 points, below Colombia (23) and Chile (also 21 but with a less goal difference). Uruguay and Venezuela with 16 points are positioned in fifth place.
Before this scenario, this time, Colombian Technical Director, decided to summoned more players with the purpose of having two players by position, as a contingent to face the two matches and for possible suspensions, since several tricolor players could lose the second match if they get a yellow card during the game against Colombia.
