Replicates of the Alfaro’s sword will be distributed
The replicates of the sword that belonged to former Ecuadorian president and founding father of the liberal revolution, Eloy Alfaro, would be elaborated by a group of specialists so they can be displayed in some latin american countries.
Tatiana Hidrovo, President of the Corporation Ciudad Alfaro, estimated that Colombia could be one of the first countries to get a copy of the weapon, which was manufactured at the end of the 19th century.
“We have restored the sabre, the sword, the mason suit, the stick, the train and the civil suit that has always been here in Montecristi, and through a license granted by the local municipality is exposed, as well as various objects,” said Hidrovo.
The assets of the old warrior rest in a special Gallery of the resort Ciudad Alfaro, where previously were located the headquarters of the Constituent Assembly. There are letters exhibited, also decrees, photographs and other objects that were part of the life of the former President born in Montecristi.
