Report of the Assembly Regarding Case Duzac will be Ready on Wednesday
The Prosecutor Commission of the Assembly will deliver the report the upcoming Wednesday October 31. The document initially confirmed that there weren’t enough guarantees when COFIEC delivered the loan of $ 800 thousand to the Argentinean Gaston Duzac.
Yesterday, Silvia Salgado, the president of the Commission, announced that the commissioners will meet the upcoming Monday October 29 to approve the draft and deliver the final document before the Legislative Administration Council.
Salgado pointed out that the document is advanced by 80% and therefore the hearings were closed. Additionally she said that the Commission will make recommendations, like performing hearings to insurance companies, and the ones involved in the case of Duzac.
Regarding the political responsibilities, Salgado did not gave any conclusions, although she did said it was necessary to carry out a new investigation regarding the administration of the seized goods, adding that six months she requested information to the Central Bank, Comptroller, General Prosecutor, Bank Superintendency and the Judicial Council; institutions that must present that information since the process of the banking bailout.
According to Expreso newspaper, which uses the testimony of Marllely Vasconez, assemblymen of PAIS and member of the Prosecutor Commission, “the credit went through several hands and the board. But the one who approved the loan is Antonio Bunay. We are not going to determine the authors, the accomplices and those that cover up the case. Is not our responsibility But we are going to say for whose hands it went through,” she pointed out. AV
