Ricardo Patiño: Assange’s Asylum in Ecuador is going to be Decided Today

Patiño said the threat was delivered to Ana Alban, Ambassador of Ecuador in London
Today at 07:00 am, the Ecuadorian government is going to announce the decision on whether or not to give asylum to the founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange, who has stayed at the Embassy of Ecuador in London since last June 19.
Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño revealed the statement at a press conference in which he denounced the government of the UK for threatening, expressly and “on paper”, that they might come to the Embassy of Ecuador in London by force and get Julian Assange out.
Patiño said the threat was delivered to Ana Alban, Ambassador of Ecuador in London, and then came to his office in paper.
The Foreign Minister said he would seek a meeting of UNASUR chancellors and also ask the secretary of the Organization of American States for an extraordinary meeting in defense of this threat. MZ
