Rivera Ordoñez Brothers Say Goodbye to Bullfighting
Francisco and Cayetano Rivera Ordoñez, sons of the famous Spanish bullfighter Francisco Rivera, best known as “Paquirri”, announced their retirement from the bullfighting world.
Francisco, the oldest brother, confirmed his retirement last October 13th. His last bullfight was in Zaragoza, Spain.
Moreover, his younger brother Cayetano has announced his temporary retirement from the arenas after finishing this season with 19 bullfights and 21 ears cut.
Cayetano started in the world of bullfighting in his late 20’s after spending most of his teenage years in Switzerland then moved to Los Angeles to study Visual Arts.
“It’s a break from the profession that has given me so much satisfaction,” said Cayetano who is now preparing to face new projects which he is excited about.
The decisions made by the most iconic Spanish bullfighters led to the absence of their last name in any poster of next season, for the first time in 20 years.
