Roberto Gilbert gives up the presidency of Emelec

Former president of the Sports Federation of Guayas, Roberto Gilbert announced his retirement from running for president of Club Sport Emelec.

Gilbert, who presented his candidacy last December 28th, said he declines his candidacy because he believes there are more followers of Nasib Neme (current president of the soccer club) than Emelec fans in the register (of members).

“I’m not going to go to war where they are going to cut off my head (…)”
