Posted On 23 Nov 2011
The troubled Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived in Saudi Arabia early on Wednesday of November 23, 2011. Saleh would sign a power transfer plan that would make him step down from charge.
The announcement remained vague regarding Saleh’s exact plans, stating that he would “attend” the signing of the so-called GCC Initiative (Gulf Cooperation Council). The document would grant Saleh immunity from prosecution in exchange for his resignation.
