The President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, and peace committees of the Congress implemented this Wednesday the National Peace Council at the Historical Memory Center.

“What we want is to tune to all sectors about the need to begin or continue to prepare us for the implementation phase of the agreements and and the construction of a true peace,” Santos said.

He reiterated that victims are the resolution center of the conflict, who are also a fundamental part of young people, communities and social movements, among other sectors that were not covered in the 90s.

For his part, Roy Barreras Montealegre, President of the Senate Peace Committee said that this will be a space to ensure that civil society can participate actively in the peace process with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).
