Scotland Yard agents guarding Assange while giving his speech
The London Metropolitan Police, Scotland Yard, assured today that they “did not enter” or “tried to enter” the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, last Wednesday, to arrest Wikileaks founder, Julian Assange.
Assange made a public appearance on a balcony of the building, with a huge buzz in the press and supporters, in front of dozens of police officers.
In his speech, Assange said he could not leave the perimeter of the embassy, because doing so would get him arrested by the police, and accused the agents to have entered the embassy last Wednesday.
According to him, the police withdrew its men from the embassy only in the presence of witnesses. (MZ)
