Seats of Guayas and Los Rios have already been assigned
The electoral boards of Guayas and Los Rios provinces, after a session to announce the results of the elections held on last February 17, have assigned the assembly seats in those provinces and refused all challenges over alleged manipulation in the counting of votes.
According to preliminary data from the board of Guayas, Alianza PAIS (AP) won 16 of the 20 provincial seats; the remaining four belong to the alliance between the Partido Social Cristiano – Madera de Guerrero (PSC-MG).
As for the results on the board of Los Rios, the authorities confirmed that, of the six available seats, five belong to AP and one to the Partido Social Cristiano – Creando Oportunidades (CREO PSC).
The delivery of provincial credentials to assembly members is planned for April 12. Deliveries began yesterday for the elected assembly members in Zamora Chinchipe.
