American tennis player, Serena William became the queen of U.S. Open after beating Belarusian Victoria Azarenka with partial 6-2, 2-6, 7-5.
William defeated Azarenka, current world number one, in a 2 hours and 18 minutes game, which was originally postponed from Saturday by heavy rains and strong winds.
This is the fourth U.S. Open crown won by the the American, who along with her sister Venus and Steffi Graf are the only women to have won Wimbledon and the U.S. in the same year, in addition to the gold medal in the Olympics.
