The National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) has not yet formalized the list of political organizations that may participate in the 2013 elections.
So far there are seven presidential candidates, but only three have a legally accepted group to sponsor them: Alianza PAIS (AP), Sociedad Patriotica (PSP) and Creando Oportunidades (CREO).
The other candidates from Concertacion Nacional, PRIAN, PRE and Movimiento Popular Democratico (MPD) are still on the wait list.
