Since March, the IESS staff will assist calls for medical appointments
From the month of March, calls of members and retirees wishing to separate a medical appointment will be attended by staff members of the IESS, work previously performed by employees of the contracted company Recapt, from February 2012.
In addition, the President of the Executive Council of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (IESS), Fernando Cordero, clarified the Thursday afternoon that the numbers 140 and 1-800-1000000 will continue to function.
The affiliated or retired will contact the numbers indicated, and staff of the IESS shall determine the appointment for the next day or a day and a half with a general practitioner, who will send him to perform the relevant tests, and will allocate it if the case requires it where the specialist, or transfer to a hospital, if the case, said lamb.
This before the series of complaints and questions that there were no available shifts or they defer the dates of appointments, a time scheduled, sometimes with waiting for months for another day.
