Solicitor General’s Office accuses Jorge Glas

Solicitor General Carlos Jurado accused 18 defendants of the alleged crime of illegal association in the Odebrecht corruption case, including Vice President Jorge Glas.
Glas´ uncle Ricardo Rivera, former comptroller general Carlos Pólit and others are linked to the case.
Attorney General’s Office intervention comes a day after the Odebrecht informer José Conceição Santos accused Glas of having received $ 16 million from the company through his uncle, Ricardo Rivera. Two million were paid in 2010 for the return of the Brazilian construction company to Ecuador, and another 14 million for 1% of all contracts the company signed in the country after its return. (I)
