Spain, with alternate players, will face Tahiti, “the Cinderella”

Posted On 20 Jun 2013

Spain sees no danger in today’s rival within the Confederations Cup and therefore will play with alternate players, by making sure to beat Tahiti, an amateur team which has only one professional player, who is the representative of Oceania, who already fell 6-1 against Nigeria in the debut.

The tournament is a rehearsal of how Brazil will manage the World Cup and participate each champion of every continent. In this meeting participated also Japan, Uruguay, Mexico, Italy, Brazil and Nigeria.

Yesterday, Italy won 4-2 against Japan and Brazil 2-0 against Mexico. Today will also play Uruguay vs Nigeria.

“The greatest respect for a player is that the opponent takes it seriously and play as he knows how, that’s what I mean by respect,” said the Spanish midfielder Andres Iniesta.

Meanwhile, the Red coach, Vicente del Bosque said about Tahiti: “The other day against Nigeria I did not find a team as weak at all”, both trying to show respect for a modest team, described as “the Cinderella” of the tournament and even criticized their presence at an event with such unequal  rivals.
