Storm Dolly reaches northeastern Mexico and the red alert remains
Several regions of Tamaulipas, Veracruz and San Luis Potosi this Wednesday remain on red alert due to heavy rains brought by the storm Dolly which in the last hours was downgraded to a tropical depression, Mexican authorities reported.
The (NWS) National Weather Service said heavy rains will continue in the states of Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Nuevo Leon, San Luis Potosi, Jalisco, Colima and Michoacan by the presence of Dolly in the Northeast and Tropical Storm Norbert in Pacific.
Dolly is on the east of the state of San Luis Potosi, 110 kilometers to the west-southwest of Tampico, in Tamaulipas, and will continue progressing on Mexican territory towards west at 13 kilometers per hour, the agency said in a statement.
State authorities mobilized health personnel to meet the contingencies that may arise, including those of epidemiological.
