Supercom dismisses lawsuit against Diego Oquendo
The Superintendency of Communication (Supercom) yesterday dismissed the accusation by Sandra Correa to Diego Oquendo, News Director of Radio Vision, for an alleged media lynching.
The judgment of the regulatory body indicates, “that the evidence of the process as well as the facts and the applicable legal standards do not suit to the infringement referred in Article 26 of the Communications Act.”
Carlos Ochoa, Director of Supercom also ordered the file of the complaint.
Meanwhile, the defendant said he had welcomed with “joy” the news by Supercom.
“I do not consider that the opinion is a goodness of Supercom, but rather the institution, which surely has good lawyers, noted that there was no legal basis in this process totally absurd,” Oquendo said.
