Syria Fights Rebels in the Capital From the Sky

Syrian rebels fight in Damascus
Today the Syrian government fought the rebels with helicopter gunships to turn the tide of the heavy clashes in Damascus. The violent clashes have assailed at least four neighborhoods in the past three days across the city.
Now the Syria civil war is moving closer to the heart of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad regime. Government forces have already deployed armored tanks and personnel carriers to fight in the capital. Hostilities concentrated in Kfar Souseh, Nahr Aisha, Midan and Qadam.
This recent change of events show that the regime’s tight control on Damascus seems to be slipping as confrontations broke out in several neighborhoods. In these complicated times al-Assad received a heavy blow when several of his senior regime figures start defecting. AV
