Posted On 17 Jul 2012
The United States Green Party designated Jill Stein as their candidate for the presidential candidature of the country in the upcoming elections of November 6.
Stein, a 62-year-old pediatrician, earned 193 votes thus defeating his candidate, the popular actress of the Roseanne Barr, who only earned 93 votes.
The new green leader will participate in the United States presidential elections offering an electoral program based on a system of universal health coverage, free tuition to higher education, pardon any student debts and any immediate moratorium of all the homes from the foreclosure.
Stein is also defending a new ecological agreement that would create millions of jobs and fight against the climate changes. (AV)
