Tena and Quito, in third and fourth place in global challenge of biodiversity observations

Tena and Quito were in third and fourth place, respectively, in the table of the category Observations of the international challenge called City Nature Challenge 2019 or Urban Naturalist Challenge 2019, a global friendly competition that invites the general public to photograph and document the biodiversity of its participating cities. This initiative is fostered by the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles and the California Academy of Sciences, USA.
The international challenge was fulfilled from April 26 to 29 of this year. Tena (capital of Napo) participated for the first time under the motto Reto Urbano Naturalista Tena 2019 and reached the third place for the 35,027 observations. (I)
