Term to install taximeter extends 60 days
Starting today, Monday, February 10, the National Transit Agency (TNA) reported that the period for the installation of taximeters and operating control at national level has been extended by 60 days.
After the meetings held this weekend between officials of the ANT, the Transit Commission of Ecuador (CTE) and leaders of Guayas taxi operators, it was agreed extend the term, according to a statement issued by the ANT.
Paola Carvajal, head of the National Transit Agency, will be responsible for making the announcement in detail tomorrow.
In addition, for the moment it will head for a process of training and awareness of the benefits of using the taximeter to the members of the control of the authorities.
Tranpsorte authorities estimate that as of April 11, all taxi owners comply with the installation and operation of the taximeter, nationwide.
