People in Ecuador can pay with Apple Pay, through credit or debit cards from three banks.
Apple Pay, a mobile payment service or digital wallet from the American technology giant of the same name, is already working in Ecuador.
Exactly, Apple details that the system, for now, can be used in three banks in Ecuador: Produbanco, Banco de Guayaquil and Banco Bolivariano.
The third financial entity enabled the system on April 25, 2024.
Users will be able to pay with the credit or debit cards of these banks through their iPhone or from the brand’s watch, known as the Apple Watch.

“Apple Pay is already on your device. It’s built into the iPhone and Apple Watch. So you don’t need to download any apps or take any additional steps,” explains Apple.
He adds that the payment system works in businesses where they accept “contactless payments.” And it details that the use of the wallet has no additional cost.
In Latin America, Apple’s payment system is also available in: Argentina, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama and Peru.
