The CAF launches platform to access information about Latin America
The CAF, development bank of Latin America, launched “Scioteca,” a knowledge platform that includes publications, investigations, economic reports and development and sectoral analysis on Latin America. These are studies edited by the CAF, which are offered for free.
“Knowledge is a fundamental pillar in the CAF strategy to promote a vision of development for the region,” said its CEO Enrique Garcia. “CAF is for its shareholder countries, more than a bank (…) it provides support in the design and implementation of public policies (…).”
“Scioteca” is the first stage of a strategy that includes the adoption of open licenses of copyright Creative Commons and the development of massive open courses (MOOCs ). “Scioteca” has been developed in the DSpace platform and its website is: http://scioteca.caf.com
