The Defense of President Correa to his Cousin Pedro Delgado

During weekly broadcast of the Ecuadorian President, Rafael Correa about Delgado that was held on Saturday October 6, 2012, the president denied the allegations made by the Ecuadorian press against his cousin, Pedro Delgado, President of the Board of the Central Bank of Ecuador.
“I prefer losing 10 times in the next election rather than threaten the prestige and reputation of someone I consider an honest functionary” said Rafael Correa.
During his speech, the president denied the dismissal request of Pedro Delgado in relation to the scandals produced by the so-called “extremely corrupt press.”
