The International Nursing Day is celebrated today

The International nursing day is celebrated every year on May 12 in commemoration of Florence Nightingale´s birth

Every May 12th, the International Nursing Day or International Day of the Nurse is celebrated, which is promoted by the International Council of Nurses (ICN), in commemoration of the birth of Florence Nightingale, who is considered the founder of modern nursing.

The International Council of Nurses distributes each year worldwide the International Nursing Day kit, which contains material with public and educational information. This profession, that requires dedication and emotional intelligence, has had higher male acceptance in Ecuador in recent years.
