The lack of a leader in the Trust delays Pedro Delgado’s case

Due to the absence of the designation of a new legal representative of the Management Unit Public Law (Ugedep), replacing the former official Pedro Delgado, who after resigning last December 19, 2012, led to problems in meeting some institutional tasks.
A clear example is when the prosecution asked on December 26, “the president of the Board of the Trust AGD-CFN No more impunity” that presents the person responsible to answer the prosecutors, in eight days, with several documents within the demand against Pedro Delgado for ideological forgery presented by the independent Assemblyman Enrique Herreria.
The prosecutor asked, the resume of Delgado that was presented at the beginning of his administration, also copies of the certificates of the requirements demanded by the law to perform in the office of President of the Board of the Trust, and the personal folder of Delgado to fulfil such office. Additionally the false professional title used by the former official was also requested; so far there has not been any reply.
Finally, the Attorney General’s Office, Galo Chiriboga said to have received an official response explaining that until there is a new chairman of the board, it would be impossible to provide such information. Given these measures, Enrique Herreria stated that the prosecutor remains committed to his purpose of delaying the matter until the elections.
