The Panela Fest brings together 13 bands in Latacunga

The musical event that reaches its second edition will take place tomorrow at the Ignacio Flores stadium, from 11:00. The day includes selling crafts and food.

Varied genres such as rock, reggae, hip hop, ska, among others, will be part of the musical menu at the Panela Fest concert in Latacunga.

The event, which will take place this Saturday, from 11:00 in the Ignacio Flores stadium, will gather 13 bands and outstanding artists of the scene, such as Sudakaya, Hijos de Quien, Da Pawn, Biorn Borg, Héctor Napolitano, Curare, Lolabum , among others.

This was announced by María José Mosquera, main spokesperson for the artistic day. “The Panela Fest is a proposal of young professionals from Latacunga in support of music, we are already in the second edition”.

Panela Fest also has the international participation of Movimiento Original group, from Chile, in the hip-hop genre. The group is popular since 2008 with its musical proposal and participation in festivals.

The concert includes El General Villamil, Don de Gente, Natural Dreada, Dance Plants and Babylon Fall Sound System.

Alternative activities

The organization announced that the Panela is a multidisciplinary festival that includes several options to enjoy both in family and friends, in a space for all audiences. Therefore, the second edition will bring together craft beer, canning, handicrafts, as well as artist’s exhibitions, workshops, among other activities for attendees.

The day also offers a skate park, a place to practice this sport, and also offers a show with the best exponents of skateboarding, such as David Holguín, who has represented Ecuador in several competitions.

The Panela includes two locations available: general $ 26.50 and VIP $ 50.00. The organizers will open the box office from 09:00 in the Ignacio Flores stadium in Latacunga. The capacity that is expected is 1,500 people. (I)
