The Senae avoids commercialization of $ 6 million in illegal merchandise
Ecuadornews:
From May 24 to July 15, after strengthening controls in the fight against smuggling, the National Customs Service of Ecuador (Senae) prevented the illegal commercialization of about $ 6 million in merchandise in the country. The agency indicated that the irregular entry of goods, either by the southern or northern borders, generates unfair competition to domestic producers and formal traders.
From the beginning of his management, the general director of the Senae Mauro Andino arranged measures to face the illegal acts that affect the national production, and that harm the legal and fair trade. The Senae said that the results obtained through the control operations include the seizure of 357 vehicles and 13 people during the aforementioned period. (I)
