There could be a Regional War between Turkey and Syria

The Syria Civil War has increased the tensions with Turkey, their neighboring country and once an ally, with whom they have exchanged artillery shots in the border for several days. The Prime Minister of Turkey Tayyip Erdogan stated, “Although Turkey does not want war, it is close to war.”
General Necdet Ozel, the military chief of Turkey vowed to respond with more force to any further shelling from Syria. Turkey has reinforced its 910-kilometers border with artillery and has also deployed more jet fighters in an air base close to the border region.
Ban Ki-moon, the UN Secretary General issued a warning on October 8, of a “dangerous” reprisal due to the increasing violence in the border between Turkey and Syria. AV
