Three awards for Ecuadorian tourism
Our beautiful capital Quito, won on last Saturday night, three awards granted by the Latin American version of the World Travel Awards (WTA), at an event held in Lima, Peru.
The awards, considered the “Oscars” of the tourism industry, were granted to the city of Quito for best tourist destination on top of the Galapagos Islands, Bahia (Brazil), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Lima (Peru), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Santiago (Chile) and the Easter Island (Chile).
The country also won the award for having the best green hotel, the Finch Bay Eco Hotel (Galapagos), and for having the best resort, the Arasha Tropical Forest Resort & Spa (Pichincha).
Since 1993, the WTA has been giving awards in recognition of excellence in the travel industry, tourism and hospitality.
