“Todas las Voces Todas” was a success in Quito

The festival “Todas las Voces Todas” ended early today and his passing left a glimmer of joy and fascination by the public capital for three days who witnessed this musical feast.

The singer Hugo Idrovo guayaquileño evoked great women like Dolores Cacuango, Tránsito Amaguaña, Manuela Sáenz and Manuela Cañizares, while Argentine León Gieco paid tribute to the iconic Janis Joplin, Mother Teresa of Calcutta, and Eva Peron.

The General Rumiñahui Coliseum was the stage for this festival dedicated to the city of Quito for its 478th anniversary, and in honor of the tenth anniversary of the Chapel of Man dream of the Ecuadorian painter Oswaldo Guayasamín, that became a reality.

The show count with performance of great singers and Latin American groupings. The Latin American folklore was felt with the Chilean group Inti Illimani with singer and composer of the same country Alberto Plaza, and for the first time on Ecuadorian stages, American folk singer, Joan Paez.

Margarita Lassos interpreted “Gracias a la vida”, song that consecrated Argentina Mercedes Sosa. From Colombia, singer Cabas and Ecuadorian band Pueblo Nuevo were also part of this music festival. While Carlos Puebla paid tribute to Ernesto “Che” Guevara on the theme “Hasta siempre comandante”.

Argentine singer Leo Giego joined the party of Latin American music with his version of “Canta cigarra” while projected images of womens as Eva Peron, Violeta Parra, Rigoberta Menchú, Frida Kahlo, among others. The closure of luxury was in charge of Cuban artist Pablo Milanes.
