The Citizen Participation Council confirmed, on Wednesday, the names sent by the leader of the regime that will be used to choose the new Superintendent of Information.
The current president of the Council, Monica Banegas, made sure the internal names were not filtered. For the event, a press conference held today at 09h00, to inform the candidates chosen by the Ecuadorian leader. They will release their profiles and the selection process that the Participation Council should be in accordance with the provisions of the Communications Law.
However sources very close to the regime informed the media that the Superintendent list of names is lead by Carlos Ochoa, director of the seized Channel News Gamatv.
To this list is added Maria Elena Aguirre, who works in the Secretariat of the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAEN) and also Wilman Sanchez, host of official media El Ciudadano.
However, none of them confirmed their nomination, but the name of Ochoa had already been heard as an option to lead the shortlist.
The new superintendent will be part of the communication system, which is set in the Communications Law.
