Today the Earth Shuts Down from 20:30 to 21:30

Today, the lights of tourist sites, city hall buildings and the city will turn off their lights in the world campaign the Earth Hour (#earthhour). In the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, the Mayor Jaime Nebot accepted the invitation to join this global event in order to demonstrate his support towards the environment.
The Earth Hour is an international activity sponsored by the World Wide Found, around 135 countries participate in this event to express their concern about the climate changes. The activity first began in the city of Sidney, in Australia in 2007. Now it has become an annual event that it’s supported by millions of citizens around the world. (AV)
