Tourism in Ecuador increased 12% in 2012

The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) forecasts that international tourism will grow in 2013 at a more moderate rate of between 2% and 4%.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, in 2012, the arrival of foreign visitors to Ecuador grew by 12% by recording 1,271,000 arrivals.

It should be noted that for the first time in the history of the Ecuadorian tourism, throughout the year, a constant growth has been experienced, even reaching a growth of 20% in January, 15% in February and 18% in June.
According to surveys, tourists who choose Ecuador as a destination are especially from Colombia, followed by the United States and Peru.
