Trade map of Ecuador limps

Employers and government look favorably the signing of trade agreements to eliminate tariffs on Ecuadorian products. The Ministry of Foreign Trade speaks of at least of 15 countries with which there is progress. The private sector questioned, however, how this list is prioritized.
South Korea is an example. Last week negotiations with China began and, according to Minister of Foreign Trade Diego Aulestia, the agreement could be reached this year. Jose Antonio Camposano, president of the National Aquaculture Chamber, believes that the agreement is positive to increase shrimp exports. He notes however, efforts should focus on larger markets.
