Twitter’s Redesign Will Make it Easier to Use

Posted On 08 Dec 2011
Twitter users will notice some changes in the next few weeks. The company has redesigned its site with the intention to make it simpler, faster and more personal.

The micro blogging network’s redesign is an attempt to “bridge the gap between the awareness of Twitter and the engagement on Twitter,” company CEO Dick Costolo said.  Almost half (40%) of the Twitter users create accounts and never post tweets because they don’t understand how to use it.

“We are going to offer simplicity in a world of complexity,” Costolo says in reference of how the changes will make Twitter easier to use.

Profile pages are also being expanded so individuals and companies can showcase more information about themselves in text, photos and video. Costolo said.
