Two Seisms Shake Christchurch

This Monday the New Zealand city of Christchurch was once again shaken by earth tremors, although there were no fatalities it did destroyed the city. The tremor had a 5,2 magnitude, its starting point was at 10 km of Christchurch with a depth of 11 kilometres.

The second tremor was at 14 km of the city with a depth of 11 kilometres, several damaged buildings collapsed and thousands of homes ended without power and water. Afterwards every school was closed as a precaution.

Bob Parker announced that the situation is dire and the city is still suffering sequels of the seism of February 22 that left 181 death and destroyed several locations of the city. The electric company Orion, informed that 54 thousand homes are without energy. The water distribution service was also affected.

In the outskirts of the city some buildings collapsed. Meanwhile the police asked the civilians to notify their neighbours and relatives their current status.
