Typhoon victims are affected by strong winds

Strong winds and heavy rains assailed Japan and five people perished during the arrival of typhoon Roke. The natural phenomena arrived the region of Tohoku at 12:00 GMT the same place were the Fukushima nuclear power plant is located.

The Tokyo Electric (Tepco) nuclear central continues to be exposed to the elements after the tsunami of March 11. The typhoon came from the South of the Pacific arriving to Japan at 05:00 GMT. It first reached the island of Honshu with strong rains and winds as fast as 150 km/h.

The typhoon caused numerous material damages, several trees were also broken and two people are missing including a child that was returning from the school. Several train lines and metros of the capital were paralyzed when millions of people returned home from their work. (AV)
