U. Catolica lost in Manta and favored Emelec

With the victory of Manta by 2-1, the main beneficiary was Emelec who maintains the lead over Universidad Catolica, its principal rival in the standings, three dates before the end of the second stage.
Yesterday, the team from Quito pledged its chances of winning the second stage of the Ecuadorian soccer championship and become a finalist, after falling by 2-1 against Manta, who took advantage of several defensive errors of Universidad Catolica.
