Unacem will buy Lafarge `Concrete of Ecuador´

Lafarge, a French company, announced the sale of its concrete operations in Ecuador for 553 million dollars, to the Andean Union Cement (Unacem for its Spanish acronym).
This sale will contribute Lafarge´s goal of reducing its net debt below 9 billion euros in 2014 (USD 12,250 million).
Lafarge employs 64,000 people in 62 countries and have reported sales of € 15.2 billion in 2013.
Unacem, which would buy the 98.57% shares of Lafarge, is a Peruvian company. Weeks ago, Lafarge merged with the Swiss company Holcim.
