Posted On 30 Sep 2014
The Unidad Popular group (former Movimiento Popular Democráctico) will submit today the request to become a political movement.
Leaders indicated they would attend to the National Electoral Council in Quito to apply and initiate the registration process of the group.
The head of the new movement, Geovanni Atarihuana, said that he aspires to collect no less than half a million signatures until March 31.
The colors of the movement, said Atarihuana, will be the same as the MPD. For the logo, they will start a contest.
