Vice Presidents of Ecuador and Bolivia looking for Latin American integration
The vice presidents of Ecuador, Jorge Glas, and Bolivia, Álvaro García Linera, had a bilateral meeting in Quito yesterday, where they addressed the Latin American integration, especially on energy and communications.
Ecuador and Bolivia share common revolutions and ideas as well as a common destiny, said García Linera when talked about the historical, cultural and geographical twinning of the two countries.
The vice presidents spoke about specific aspects of regional integration such as infrastructure, energy and public policy.
As reported by the public digital portal, El Ciudadano, Bolivian Vice President said that it is intended that the governments, respecting local sovereignty, create regional institutions; practical, legal, financial, that allow them to act in the global context.
Meanwhile, Glas highlighted the importance of protecting natural resources for the investments in this area do not generate competition between the countries in labor and environmental issues.
