Victims of rains in Argentina, complained for late assistence
Rescuers were looking yesterday in La plata, Argwntina, people who disappeared as a result of the strong storm, which flooded a huge part of the city and left as balance 57 dead. Of the total of victims who have already been identified, 51 correspond to La Plata, and six to Buenos Aires.
Daniel Scioli, Governor of Buenos Aires, said that the victims drowned, were electrocuted and dragged because of the floods of the streets of the city. He also reported that altough the level of water decreased, nearly a thousand people remain evacuated.
Scioli arrived along with Alicia Kirchner, Minister of Social development, to one of the shelters, and the people waiting in long lines to receive mattresses, diapers for the children, bottled water and other items, received them with boos and insults.
Likewise, dozens of victims received last Wednesday with claims to President Cristina Fernández, who made a visit to the affected areas, where residents surrounded the President and reproached her for not acting urgently and help the affected families.
Criticism were also made to Pablo Bruera, Mayor of La Plata, even there were people who asked for his resignation after he posted on his Twitter account a photo in which it was reported that he was helping those affected, when actually he was on vacation in Rio de Janeiro.
