The leader of the Ecuadorian regime, Rafael Correa opened the XVIII World Youth Festival, organized in Quito last Saturday with the presence of eight thousand young people from 83 countries of the world.
The stage of the discussion was the Bicentennial Park, where the president arrived around 18:00. This was after the speeches of the President of the Assembly, Gabriela Rivadeneira, and the Mayor of Quito, Augusto Barrera, who made a call to the young people to prepare themselves for the seizure of power and struggle for genuine socialism.
Correa took the opportunity to criticize the U.S. oil company Chevron, with which it maintains a conflict for environmental damage caused by that company in eastern Ecuador.
